Its been hectic over october Divali vacations and all through December!
We've had several guests staying at the cottages, and its been wonderful interacting with them and meeting their families and friends.

The last group of six were an enthusiastic group of musicians, media personnel and marketting buddies, who stormed into the New Year over sizzling barbecued tandoori chicken, Asian marinated paneer and veggies, and corn on the cob. They strummed their guitars and hummed and sang out the old and brought in the New Year long after we ourselves had crumpled, exhausted, into bed!

The Gour Broome family have been running Jambe Environment Farm (JEF)  for 39 years.  A beautiful green haven,  it's a 30-minute drive from Pune city, 5 Km from the Hinjewadi IT hub, and 6 Km from the Mumbai-Bangalore Highway.
        Tucked away in a quiet valley, surrounded by a forest of trees, the farmhouse and cottages are amidst organic rice fields and fruit trees, Gir and mixed breed cows, and a large tree, shrub and herb nursery, run by their son Vivek Gour Broome.
        Ashok , a tea planter and now gentleman farmer, and his wife Leela enjoy having visitors, except in the summer, when they remain closed for maintainance.  She is a writer of childrens fiction. Until recently they conducted nature and environment camps for children 7 - 12 years.  The family are enthusiastic environment-friendly people, and attempt to grow and eat organic foods, buy local produce, and live in as earth friendly a manner as possible. Their home is very rustic, a blend of East and West. Most visitors love the ambiance.

The farmhouse has an Annexe, with 2 SELF-SERVICE cottages, very private, and self contained. 
Each cottage has 2 Double Bedrooms, with attached baths and toilets, and a spacious sitting/dining/kitchenette. Each Cottage has an extra bed. An inviting veranda is like a magnet at dusk and dawn, surrounded by its own green canopy of trees and fields.  Mosquitoes can be a problem at certain times of the year.... insect repellent is recommended.

Nightjar Cottage

The cottages are decorated in 1920's Colonial style; warm and friendly, simple, light and airy small bungalows.

We offer a complimentary continental breakfast with bookings. 
Meals: Guests have a choice of heating up their own small meals / opting for packed club sandwich lunches and fruit,  and hot fusion meals for dinner / eating out. Restaurants nd even a happening mobile fast food hub is located just outside the farm and in Hinjewadi, 3 Km away. Simple snacks and soft drinks are available in grocery shops, walking distance from the cottages. A list of Restaurants is available with the Hosts.  

As our cottages are self serviced, guests are expected to wash up their own dishes, after use with washing up materials provided. Please make certain your litter is separated efficiently, for disposal by our limited Staff.

Gas stove, some utensils, cutlery/crockery, as well as tea/coffee/sugar/salt and milk are provided in your kitchen on your arrival. (Check "Cottage Kitchen" under Pages)

Tariff: R.2000/- per cottage, per day - for 2 adults. & 
           R.4000/- p-er cottage, per day for 4 adults. Children under 4 years free.
           R.750/-  for one extra person. (includes bed and breakfast)
           R.100/-  packed sandwiches & fruit. (LUNCHES)
           R. 250/- Veg/non-Veg Fusion Indian/Western with Dessert. (DINNERS Only.)
           R. 350/- per head for a Barbecue. (Please check for             menu/quantity/requirements)
           R.100/- service fee for Staff per Cottage booking.

Your Booking will be confirmed only on receipt of a non-refundable Booking Fee of R.1500/- by bank transfer. Details of these will be emailed to you when you write to us.  

Orders must be given for lunches or veg/non-veg dinners on payment of Booking fee, and cannot be cancelled, once order is placed.
